Team Updates

The date for the Providence Bruins game has been moved to December 20. The ticket price is $17 per person. A headcount of who is planning to attend will be needed in the near future. Contact Mr. Horler to let him know if you are planning to go.

The video game tournament will be held December 7 in the LHS library. It is scheduled from 2-7 pm--this includes time for set up and clean up, with the tournament beginning at 3:00.
*We are planning to charge for admission and to sell snacks and drinks in the hallway just outside the library. Local businesses will be contacted to assist with this. If you are involved in this, please keep Asia updated, as she is coordinating this.
*The game chosen for the tournament is Super Smash Brothers: Brawl. The team will be providing the Wii consoles and remotes--there will be a total of 4 consoles and 16 of each type of controller (Wii remotes, Nunchuks, and GameCube controllers). If you are bringing any of these items please make sure to have them labeled with your name.
*Some of the team members will be meeting to discuss the rules of the tournament. Details to come.
*The Spirit Team will be working on posters at this Thursday's meeting to put around the school to advertise the tournament.

There is another fundraiser in the works. We are looking at gaining sponsors that, in exchange for contributing to our team, we would advertise for them on either our website, banner, shirts, etc. This fundraiser is still a work-in-progress, but keep it in mind, as it would be an on-going fundraiser for the team, if successful.

Also, for your information, multiple methods of communication and distributing information to the team will be used. If you are not on the email list, please give your email to Mr. Horler. In addition, there will be a Facebook group set up and possibly a text notification system set up. Contact information will be collected from team members that want to receive information via these methods.
