Details on the video game tournament are being finalized in the next few meetings leading up to the tournament:
Here are the logistics that were determined at today's meeting:
*Posters and fliers will be up soon
*Announcements will start being made soon. Morning announcements about the tournament will start Monday, December 2. Written announcements will start Wednesday, December 4.
*Tickets will be sold at a reduced price during both lunches every day from Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 6. Students entering will provide their name and a contact number, and they will be assigned a player number. Student ID's and tickets will be required to enter the tournament on December 7.
*Tickets will be sold at the full price at the tournament.
*A maximum of 150 people will be allowed to enter for a spot in the tournament.
In addition, here is the information about the bracketing system for the tournament:
*The tickets that are sold will have a table to keep track of an individual's performance during the preliminary rounds. For each match a person competes in, they will earn up to 4 points (1 point for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, etc). The 8 players with the lowest scores will move on to the elimination rounds.
*The Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals will be played as previously determined (see the notes from the meeting on November 7)
