In addition, there are many different groups, with various purposes and expertise. They are always looking for new members. Please visit the individual links for details of our team legacy.
Game Reveal Animations
Our two largest groups are Build and Programming. Build’s purpose is to build the robot over the course of a six-week period. Programming works on creating the code to make our robot function, whether it is throwing Frisbees, climbing pyramids, or kicking soccer balls. Both teams are skilled in what they do and are constantly learning and developing new techniques.
- CAD/Animation group works constantly to create animation videos, and digital renderings of each year’s robot. No matter what your experience is with these programs, they always appreciate help.
- Marketing and Fundraising works to raise awareness about our robotics team. They also organize fundraisers and community interactions.
- Spirit group is in charge of boosting moral, planning the pit design and team parties. They often assist with Marketing and Fundraising.
“The varsity Sport for the Mind, FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team 'brand,' hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to 'real-world engineering' as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team."
